Argument Between Senior Citizens Ends in Gunfire
An argument between two senior citizens ended in violence Wednesday morning. One man allegedly pulled a gun and shot the other.
This happened around midnight on Rice near South W.W. White. Police tell News 4 WOAI that the two men had just returned to their apartments from a pool tournament. They apparently had a personal disagreement, then one man allegedly broke into the other's apartment and started beating him. In self defense, the man being beaten pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the chest.
The 66-year-old shooting victim was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center in serious condition.
Police say no charges will be filed against the 67-year-old shooter. However, that is not the case for the man who was shot. Police say he will face burglary with intent to committ assault charges.
