Two home invasion suspects were in custody and another was hospitalized Friday morning following a shooting during their attempted invasion, NewsChannel 4 reported.

The three robbers broke into a woman's house on North Roys Avenue, but police said the woman got a gun and fired at them. A robber who was hit showed up several blocks away on North Wheatland Avenue with injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.
Also, WBNS Channel 10 covered the story:
A Columbus mother grabbed a gun and defended her family against armed robbers. Columbus police say four juveniles with a gun kicked in the door of a home on North Roys Avenue near West Broad Street early this morning. A mother in a bedroom fired on the robbers to defend herself and her two young children. One suspect was hit in the buttocks. He dropped his gun and all four fled.
