Arlington, TX

A man was jogging to his gym in the 6000 block of West Poly Webb Road, near Little Road and Interstate 20, at about 6 a.m. when he noticed a truck following him, police say. The truck eventually pulled in front of the jogger, and the teen got out of the passenger door with a gun and demanded property.
The jogger pulled out his own concealed weapon and shot the suspect at least one time in the leg. Police found 10 to 12 shell casings in the parking lot where the shooting occurred. One business had a bullet hole in its door.
People who live and work in the area, which is filled with businesses and on the edge of a residential neighborhood, said the area is normally quiet and doesn't see much crime. After the teenager was shot, police say he got back into the truck and the driver took off. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen on Feb. 16, was found abandoned a short time later.
