JACKSON, MS – A man has shot and killed a suspect in self-defense after being robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint.

According to Officer Colendula Green of the Jackson Police Department, in Eastover area, the victim was putting items in his truck, when he  was approached by two black males with guns and forced back inside his house.

The suspects took his wallet and made him take them to a nearby ATM to withdraw an undisclosed amount of money. Both suspects mentioned going back to the house & to do something to the victim’s wife and the victim was made him get out of truck.

The victim grabbed a gun from his truck and shot at the suspects, killing one of them (identified by the Hinds county coroner as 23-year-old Edwin Robinson), on the scene. The other suspect fled and is still at large. He was last seen wearing a bandana with dark clothes in a tan SUV with no tag.
