A teen who fired a gun while trying to rob two men Thursday night was shot and killed by one of his intended victims, Cincinnati police said.
Police said 16-year-old Christopher Terrell attempted to rob a contractor about 11:37 p.m. in the 150 block of Jonathan Avenue in Evanston.
Another contractor observed the robbery attempt and confronted Terrell.
Terrell and the second contractor exchanged gunfire, and Terrell was killed during the shooting. It's unclear who fired first, said Lt. Steve Saunders.
The contractor, who was working on plumbing at a residence, had a concealed-carry permit for his weapon, said Saunders.
Documenting civilians using guns in self-defense. Largely because a well-known gun control activist insisted to me that defensive use of guns by civilians was very rare: "maybe once in ten years."
